WELCOME TO ISSUE 74

1

Dear RRR Network Member,

What a big small place this world is. A truly diverse planet with much to explore – whether it be within our backyard, the country we live in or some exotic new place. Forever changing, but often gently, gently.

While i often lose myself in wonder at its greatness, I am also constantly reminded that we have fellow humans scattered all over the place and that humanity is alive and vigorous.

I have the absolute privilege to be travelling with the Nuffield Farming Scholars through Brasil at the moment; a bunch of positive and proactive farmers taking a global snapshot of agriculture before focusing in on their selected study topic with the aim of gathering the most intelligent and practical information to share with their respective industries back home and through their new networks. What an investment!

The willingness for fellow farmers to ‘kick the tyres’ throughout the world and turn challenges into opportunities and opportunities into action - it fills my cup.

We see it every day in our own communities as we dig deep and make things happen. It's not easy, but it's worth it.

The world is dynamic, change is the constant and I will always admire people with courage to seize the day.

Sally Thomson, Reference Group Member, Woodanilling
