Guidelines for Sponsorship and Advertising Activities within RRR Network

Preamble

Advertising and or sponsorship is accepted in the Rural Remote and Regional (RRR) Women’s Network publication, Network News, and on the RRR Network website subject to meeting appropriate conditions.
All activities covered by these guidelines will be consistent with the policies of the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Local Government and Regional Development, Government of Western Australia.

Purpose

To promote the charter and objectives of the RRR Network:

Charter:

To bring together women from rural, remote and regional Western Australia to recognise, promote and expand the contribution they make to their communities.

Objectives:

To provide a mechanism for rural, remote and regional women and rural women’s organisations and individuals to link with each other to disseminate and share information relevant to the development of rural and regional communities.

To provide rural, remote and regional women with easy access to government information and programs relevant to regional development and agriculture.

To provide government agencies and other service providers with information on education and training needs for rural, remote and regional women.

To provide a resource for government departments, industry associations, decision-making bodies and local authorities to access rural, remote and regional women.

To provide a link between organisations for the exchange of information and the cooperative development of programs relevant to rural, remote and regional women.

This will be achieved by positively influencing the following target groups:

Rural, remote and regional women
Members of the community
Key stakeholder groups (in government, industry and regions); and

with regard to:

  • positioning RRR Network as a peak rural women’s network;
  • promoting messages about opportunities for women in rural, remote and regional WA;
  • raising the profile and increasing opportunities for rural women;
    exchanging information;
  • developing cooperatively programs relevant to rural women; and
  • developing mutually beneficial partnerships with government and industry.

Sponsorship

The RRR Network will be publicly associated with partner organisations where the sponsorship is relevant to rural, remote and regional women, with the exception of the following:

Endorsement of messages, products, services or activities which are inconsistent with the charter and objectives of the RRR Network.

Acceptance of sponsorship from an organisation does not imply endorsement of products and services by RRR Network and the Government of Western Australia.

Sponsorship will not extend to the distribution of commercial leaflets or brochures in the publication.

Care shall be taken to avoid a conflict of interest.

Sponsorship will actively contribute to the image and positioning of the RRR Network

To avoid claims of bias, sponsorship opportunities are open to anyone who might be interested 

The RRR Network name and logo may be used only with the approval of the RRR Network.

Advertising

The RRR Network reserves the right to evaluate all statements in advertisements and reserves the right to reject any advertising that does not conform to the following:

Advertising should be relevant to rural, remote and regional women and appropriate for inclusion in a government sponsored publication.

The nature and content of the advertising or sponsorship should contribute to the professional image of the RRR Network.

Acceptance and inclusion of an advertisement or sponsor’s symbol in the Network News publication does not imply endorsement of the product or sponsor by the RRR Network and its sponsoring government departments, the Department of Agriculture and the Department of Local Government and Regional Development

Advertising is to be clearly distinguishable from the text and where an article accompanies the advertisement, it will contain the labelled “advertorial”.

To preserve the editorial integrity of RRR Network activities, advertising and editorial will not be linked.

Positioning of advertisements in RRR Network publications and website will be at the discretion of the RRR Network.

Advertisements will not be accepted where they are likely to cause offence, are untruthful, are misleading or deceptive in any way, and are discriminatory.

In any 24 page edition of the Network News, a maximum of 2 pages shall be used for advertising and sponsorship.

All advertisements included in the Network News publication and website must be approved by the RRR Network Editor.
